Recipe Series: BBQ Sauce Edition

Barbecue, arguably America's most universally beloved food. As versatile as it is delicious, BBQ comes in a variety of textures and flavors, but never before has the world seen a hot banana pepper bbq sauce (we assume). Luckily we know people who make a spicy banana pepper sauce: us. The tangy heat of our sauce is the perfect compliment to the sweet and smoky flavors people love about barbecue, so we went to the test kitchen to make our version of a bbq sauce. What we came up with was a Spicy Honey BPS BBQ Sauce. This is a mustard based sauce that goes perfect with ribs, pulled pork, smoked sausage and chicken. Recipe below:

- 1 cup mustard

- 3/4 cup spicy banana pepper sauce

- 3/4 cup honey

- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

- 1/2 tablespoon ancho chili powder

- 1/2 tablespoon ground coriander

- 1/2 tablespoon ginger powder

- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

- Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together in a pot over low/medium heat and stir to combine. Let simmer for 7-10 minutes. If you prefer a smooth sauce mix in the blender.
